Objective:   At the end of this project, you will be able to read, write and speak about a person describing his/her personality traits,qualities, narrating his/her achievements, the context the person has lived in and the impact s/he has had on it.

Situation and audience:  

Every year Bitácora UN encourages its audience to tell about those people that have contributed to change their communities in a positive way with their actions by nominating them as Bitácora UN Hidden Figure. Nominees can be community leaders, athletes, teachers, family members or any other person who has been outstanding for their communities.

Task 1: My hidden figure’s profile (August 4th)

Objective: to write a person’s profile including the description of her/his personal information (birth place, birthday, nationality, educational background), personality, skills, and main achievements.

Situation and audience: The first requirement for Bitácora UN selection committee is to send a short candidate’s profile. This profile should include a creative personal description of the candidate and how s/he has contributed to the society.

Some questions to guide your writing:

Who is your favorite hero or heroine ? What does or did s/he do for living? Describe the job this person has or had. What makes this person a hero? (personality and abilities) What are his /her main contributions to the community?
